I was talking to someone about ‘collaborating’ on a mobile mom kind of blog. We were excited, until she brought up the idea that she can hire a freelance writer to do the writing. And, my excitement went down to negative.
I have nothing against freelance writing because I did that. One of the reasons why I quit from it because I felt burned out. Most probably because the topics assigned to me are too far from my interest. They are something I cannot put my heart on.
It made me ‘realized’ (gaah, i have a lot of realizations ha) that what makes one ‘stood out’ at what he/she is doing is his emotions. You probably follow a blog not because his/her grammar is A+ but it’s more of the emotions he put into his writing, and from the emotions he’s able to ‘extract’ from you.
