*Intro*

Hi welcome to our short demo. In this demo, i am going to show you our new approach in using our application. This demo takes about 20 mins of your time.

*Concepts*

We have redesigned our application with you, our users, in mind and the kind of tasks you want to accomplish. You know how to accomplish your work, so we give you the tools to define how to do it.

This means you can customize and create your own workspace with the most relevant features you need. You can design your workspace that fits your specific work flow. So you spend less time accessing the application features and focus more on getting the job done.

Given you already have access to the application, after logging in, you will notice right away the empty dashboard. The dashboard is like an empty canvas, you define what you want to put in there. This only happens the first time you login. Later on, after you have customized your dashboard, the application will remember your preferences so you can work right away.

We call what you put in your dashboard, widgets. Widgets are modular pieces of functionality that allows you to accomplish specific task or view and filter a set of data. You can browse and select the different kinds of widgets you want to put in your dashboard. You can also move the widgets around your dashboard and defined your own layout. Your choice and layout can be based on the most frequent set of tasks you want to accomplish.

Organizing your dashboard is key in effectively using the application. You will want to keep the most frequently accessed functions accessible right away, while keeping the less used ones out. Anyway, you can always add new widgets anytime in case you need them, and just remove them once your done.

At the top-center of your dashboard, you will see and access the sliding panel. The sliding panel contains all the available widgets according to your user access level. The widgets are categorized based on their areas and functionalities in the application.

You can activate the sliding panel by clicking on the down arrow you see in the center. The arrow link also closes the sliding panel. You only need to keep the sliding panel open when selecting a widget, the rest of the time it is kept close, leaving you more space to use for widgets.

To add the widgets, drag-n-drop them, one-by-one, from the panel to your dashboard. From there, you can move the widgets around your dashboard and arrange them as you see fit. To move them, click and hold the title bar of the widget, then drag to your desired position and release.

We have implemented a grid layouting system, so it’s easy to align and arrange your widgets in the dashboard. The top-left corner of the widgets automatically snaps to the grids, so widgets are always positioned properly.

In addition to arranging the widgets in the dashboard, you can also customize their look and feel. You can customize the widget title and change its frame color. Giving it a distinctively look among other widgets, and can be used to classify widgets based on importance. or for whatever classification you see fit.

You can use the tab feature to further organize your dashboard. Multiple tabs allows you to keep a different set of widgets and layout for different kinds of tasks. So you can keep different configurations for different uses or situations.

Initially, there’s only one tab created. You can create additional tabs and switch to them as needed. You can customize the name of the tabs so it’s easy to identify them. You can also delete tabs when you don’t need them anymore.

You can access the rest of the application’s features from the top-left menu bar. You can browse and search the Help section, configure application-wide options, spool and log-out from the application.

Remember, when you log-out, the application automatically remembers your preferences, including your layout. So you can get back to work right away, the next time you log in.

That concludes our short demo. If you want to explore more with an actual application, please contact us.
