you’re my number 1 (nido commercial)

“You’re My Number One”
Lyrics by: Sandy Sulit
Music by: Caloy Agawa
Performed by: Sharon Cuneta, with daughters Frankie and Miel Pangilinan

Look at me mom
Shining like the sun
Bright as the day
You’re my number one

And there’s no treasure
That i will cherish like you

And when i smile
They all see you glow
And they all know
You’re my number one

My one and only joy
Is to give you my love

(bridge)
My one love for you
I give through and through
I see you and the signs that bring joy
That all the world can see so clearly

Look at me mom
Shining like the sun
Bright as the day
You’re my number one

the carrot’s reputation

i just found out that migi has this aversion toward the vegetable carrot. i do not know why as i don’t remember forcing him to eat carrots, neither i remember giving lecture about carrots.

one time, migi ate meg’s leftover ‘cerealicious’ (for those who don’t know, cerealicious is like halo2x cereals) that had peanuts in it. migi spitted out the nuts. meg asked him, ‘unsa na. kuya?’ at which migi replied casually, ‘carrots na.’

the latest was after they consume mat’s whole big box of cerelac, banana wheat flavor, migi still wanted more. only chicken vegetable flavor was left and i know they would not like it so i told him enough already because it’s for mat already. he kept on whining and whining, and then he opened the fridge to get the cerelac. when he saw the box with a carrot drawing in it, he then commented, ‘naa na carrot. mat lang na.’ then went away.

to which mark commented, ‘kalooy sad reputation anang carrot.’ which also made me think that i also don’t fancy carrot eventhough it’s orange, my favorite color. i’m somehow forced to eat it for the belief that it’s nutritious. and, it’s always left behind in mixed veggie viands, ‘sayang’ man if it will just be thrown away so ‘pagtyagaan’ na lang og kaon.=)

life can be a box of vegetables, sometimes you get a carrot which you could either spit it out or suck it up.  or, make a carrot shake. =)
